Petition against Dog Kennel ( Dog boarding ) business located at 4356 rose lane, Concord

I have lived near a dog kennel -- major disturbance of the peace. They can be heard when they are indoors, and windows have to be kept shut when the dogs are outdoors, because it is so loud and incessant. The barking carries long distance, and once one dog barks, the entire kennel goes off pretty much non-stop. Traffic to and from the kennel on our little lane will be dangerous as I've found that those that do not live on our street tend to speed. As well, we will have ongoing and increasing numbers of people driving on our lane that do not live here creating less privacy for those that do live here. Will absolutely decrease our property values.

Save the dogs, they did nothing to deserve this.

I am sure they are wonderful people . This is nothing to do innbeing wonderful! My house is a sanctuary of peace and quiet! I work at home and need peace to focus on my projects. There is no room for forced noise, traffic at my sanctuary home. Everyone in the neighborhood and the Vicinity agrees. I am sure you would not want to have your house next to a Dog run/ kennel/ park......

We are familiar with Waggin Tails and it is not a dog kennel - there are no kennels. The grounds are beautifully groomed and clean with flowers and planters all over. There is supervision of the dogs at all times and a snap of the fingers stops the barking. The dogs staying here must be up to date on vaccinations and must not be aggressive. This is a wonderful business run by two professional people.

This is a continuation from my last post... We understand the concerns regarding barking and because we are behaviorists and we are with the dogs at all times, we prevent most barking and control it immediately when it happens. Of course barking will occur at times during play or if a cat jumps the fence, but again, we are there and will quell it immediately and we can guarantee it’s no more than you’d hear in a typical neighborhood. We have dozens of current neighbors that can/will currently attest to that and it is something we pride ourselves on is that dogs with us get day care and training in one. We currently live on a 1-way gravel road with a steep driveway, so we organize our daily arrivals by scheduling our clients to arrive at specific times. This model has worked perfectly for us because it ensures there’s no extra traffic to the neighborhood. We also restrict arrivals to 7-10am Monday-Friday and 8-11am on weekends so there isn’t all day traffic. On Rose Lane clients will arrive one at a time and during those limited times. Hello Rose Lane residents! My husband and I are the current owners of said property at 4356 Rose Lane as of almost 2 weeks ago, and we are so excited to be moving in to such a wonderful community of people. We currently live on San Miguel Rd, just 2 miles from our new home on Rose Lane and we are the owners and operators of Waggin' Tails k9 Adventure Ranch. We are a cage-free doggy day care, which means we do not have any kennels, nor will we ever build any kennels. Unfortunately you have been provided with misinformation about us. We have yet to meet our new neighbors, Azita and Brian, the creators of this petition. I can’t tell you how much it hurts my heart to know we bought this amazing property only to end up with neighbors who are petitioning us, going to the City against us, and being rude to the workers we have hired to update the property. We want to start off our new (and hopefully forever) life on Rose Lane with positivity in the neighborhood. We would never want to cause any problems for the people living there, especially because we now live there. And we believe in the neighborhood spirit where everyone can get along, despite differing opinions or choices. We are incredibly aware of the importance of peace and quiet in a residential community, as we enjoy that ourselves! And we understand the initial fear you must all have when hearing the misinformation of a dog kennel being built. I’d freak out too. But we currently live in a residential area just like yours and we have dozens of neighbors who live near us and in 3 years we’ve NEVER had a complaint for noise or any complaint at all. In fact, because we live on Contra Costa Trail, there are constantly people on the trail on bikes, walking their dogs, jogging, and skateboarding. This is another degrading of our property values and the scams run on Rose Ln. private citizens. Always the lies from the city of Concord as to what they want to shove down our throats.

I am against a dog kennel on this quiet residential street I live nearby and I don't appreciate the additional noise or traffic that it will bring into our nice quiet neighborhood.

This is terrible. The peace and quiet is why we moved here. Also, we are starting a farm. So, this will not do.

No 24 hr animal care in a residential community

I share my neighbor’s concern regarding a kennel across the street from my home. Property value, which is likely to suffer from the kennel’s addition to the neighborhood, is just a reflection of decreasing quality of life: the noise pollution, the increased traffic, the safety impairment for children from both dogs and cars on a quiet residential street are going to affect all of us immediately.

Noise, lack of privacy, high traffic,barking dogs, decrease in my property value next to my house is NOT going to happen!
