Keep Rastrick as green and peaceful as possible!

The infrastructure in the Brighouse, Rastrick and Huddersfield area, is already at breaking point. This is not feasible.

With Huddersfield Town already battling to avoid relegation we can't be having this kerfuffle. Let's get behind Wagner and push the boys on. HTAFC

Increased traffic, green belt land destroyed, archeological items disappear and infrastructure to surrounding areas unacceptable

Brighouse does not have the infrastructure to support all the proposed new houses within its boundaries. Schools and doctors are already full to capacity. Traffic would be a nightmare too

Green belt land is meant to be protected from such things, we can't allow housing to be built there.

The cottages here for over 200 years will be ruined by the site, the fresh air is why most people bought here. Strong against this proposal.

Our traffic is already dreadful. The congestion on the M62 is creating rat runs through Rastricks narrow roads. Additional housing will create an unmanageable burden on our local roads. The fields are the only local space for local dog walkers and ramblers. The wildlife including foxes pheasants, Owls, roosting and nesting birds and protected bats are all users of these fields. If we loose them we will never get them back in our or our children's lifetime.

Our green belt is sacred, it has a genuine purpose in our lives to provide open spaces for recreation, clean air, rambling utilising hard fought for access to ancient footpaths and and preserving our wildlife corridors. Our community is already blighted by heavy traffic our streams and rivers are swelling during rainfalls because our fields which act as natural sponges are being over developed. We must protect our Greenbelt in brighouse and Rastrick .

What a joke

Shocking idea. You can clearly see the negative impact to the local area when similar developments have been done in Lindley so why on earth would this be pursued? Rastrick does not have the capacity to meet this additional demand in its schools and community resources such as doctors and dentists. The traffic is already excessive for a community of this size and this will only exacerbate the problem. I know little about the range of wildlife that will lose its habitat through this development, but I do know it will be a huge loss of green space for residents who use this for recreation, dog walking, etc.

the proposed building on lands surrounding brighouse and Rastrick will have a detrimental effect on road infrastructure, schools and most importantly wildlife. The impact on already spare habitats for our native bats, owls small mammals and birds would be devastating. We are losing native trees which in turn is impacting on the land and environment. This green belt land is green belt for a reason! As appointed councillors you should be serving the communities views.

Absolutely ridiculous idea

The traffic is already unbearable sometimes. Help people to buy existing empty homes instead of new ones!

This type of development in this location has got to be the worst idea I've heard in a long long time. Huddersfield road can barely withstand the traffic already creating a rat run through the woodhouse and rastrick routes already, but to add this amount of houses and in doing so possibly twice the number of cars as houses proposed in the area can only mean gridlock in an already gridlocked location at peak times.
