I believe this project is being gone about in the wrong way. Strongly disagree with building something in one location specifically for them. Those who would be displaced should just be helped to find different existing housing elsewhere in all different areas of the city & surrounding areas & towns. That way no one area/school district would be overloaded and impacted. Remember when they tore down all those red brick ground-level apartments in NKC (don't remember their name) to improve the area & build those rather pricey places that are there now? All those people had to move & find a new place on their own. No specific new place was built just for them. Agree with the reasons others have stated as well. Also, the developer is in Illinois & probably knows nothing about this area. Profit is their only interest.

Take your project to another city and State. Don't give to others what we all have work so hard to get. It is unfair to the community and our schools.

No considerations have been made on behalf of the quality of education to the children currently living in this area and the children slated to move into this area if this project is moved forward. As a parent of a child with special needs and knowing the finding needed in the Platte County R-III, I am in strong opposition of this project. We do not have the community resources to serve these possible incoming families adequately. As well as the above mentioned lack of proper infrastructure, our area is in a serious shortage of before and after school care options for working parents in the PC R-III school district.

This is not a development we want in our neighborhood. There is already plenty of HUD/Low income Housing near our neighborhood behind Quiktrip on Barry Road.

This will negatively affect our housing values of those that live in the 152 area, along with all other reasons mentioned in the article. As a real estate professional, I vehemently oppose this development for these reasons.

The surrounding area is not well suited for this type of development. There is a notable lack of public transportation, job availability, and public resources in the proposed area. Public aide in the form of medical assistance is severely limited in the Northland. Clinics for those lacking private insurance, such as the Samuel U Rodgers Clinic and the KC CARE Clinic are at least 30 minutes away. The nearest public health department is in Liberty. There are no public transportation means to access these resources. By placing this development in the Northland, you deprive these individuals of basic healthcare needs and threaten the infrastructure of the surrounding area.
