As a graduate of the medical school next to these apartments, I have spent much time in this area. While something needs to be done about these apartments and their condition, there are better options than moving it to the Northland. Not only would it change the neighborhoods near Metro North Mall, but it would also affect the low income families moving. This would take then nearly 30 mins during high traffic hours from where they currently live and from the neighborhood most of them grew up in. For many of those individuals, if they are employed they will not be able to obtain transportation to their jobs. Our public transit is not set up for that at this point.

This decision made with no regards the current structure of our school district. A development of this magnitute would only put unnecessy strain on our school district.

This is such a horrible idea. I will not have my property value going down due to the city's poor management of the urban core.

All one needs to do is pass by the "scatter" housing on North Beacon to see what happens to neighborhood who have residents who have no vested interest in a community like Lake Forest. They do nothing to maintain their yards, mailboxes, or houses.

The HUD development in this area would only hurt the area and not improve it in any way. Why would anyone approve this? I am stongly against this.

Please do not allow this. This area is already busy with the Costco there. Plus the schools in this area could not accommodate this.
