The modeling industry standards for 2019 have been between 5’6”-5’11”+ for women and even taller for men. With such high standards, petite models barely stand a chance, usually having to go to talent agencies to stay with print work instead of getting a chance to walk the runway. These need to change. I’ll admit that the industry has changed throughout the years but they could be doing more. By opening their doors to petite models, they could benefit because there would be more of a variety for clients. Take Lily-Rose Depp as an example. She has been very successful as a petite model but it’s very rare of shorter models to get anywhere. If you’re sick of these standards, take a stand with us. Let’s change the industry one signature at a time!

I am a professional model and cosplayer. Over a decade of experience. I am 5'3 and full of life and positive vibes. It has gotten very hard for me to book shoots and get casted due to my height, but I will push on. Would love this standard to change based on talent, not height.
Hi I’m 26 years old striving to become a model myself and I always hear people say “your to short” I’m willing to take a stand and say enough is enough.
I’m a 5’4” experienced model from LA and am always struggling to find work because I am “too short” and “too tiny”. It’s unfair because my work is either just as good as taller models and sometimes better.
I totally agree with how standards need to change. Height should not be a factor in whether a person can model or not. All heights, including petite heights, as well as all body sizes should be allowed in the fashion/modeling industry. It's 2019 now. Those old standards should be broken. It's time for more diversity, especially height diversity. Petite models need more representation in this industry.
I stand for this as I am 4'9 and the only runway work I got to do was for my college I want to do more than that! I hope more signatures come in to support petite women like us!

Being 5’1” should not make my dream of walking a runway or being signed by agencies like IMG impossible. It’s 2020. Time for change.
