Peter Anderson has been reassigned dorms from Ames 4th west to Hathorn first floor for violating the residence life alcohol policy. The Student Handbook states under the "Sanctions" section that "a individual may benefit from living in another residence hall or that the community may benefit from their removal and mandate that the individual be reassigned to another residence hall." We believe that Peter will be safer,smarter, healthier and make better decisions if he remains where he is today. The strong support system we have built as Peter's roommates in our pod will allow us to help Peter make better decisions. We as a pod promise to never break any policies or standards set by residence life and plan to hold any visitors accountable for their actions. This petition has been written by Andrew Moldenhauer, Robert Kueppers, Brian LeDuc and Peter's roommate Zachary Loos. While we as Peter's pod-mates respect the decision of residence life to remove Peter from Ames, we also respectfully disagree. If you are receiving this petition it is because you have some type of relationship with Peter. We hope that you will come to the conclusion that Peter's well being is better off in Ames with the support system of his friends.
