Pet store Welfare

If you are dedicated towards looking after your pets and have done hours worth of research then you'll know that pet stores don't exactly mean it when they say 'we care about our animals'. Along the shelves, are unsafe products such as pine and cedar bedding for small animals and cotton fluff bedding, unhealthy cheap foods which are probably costumers first pick. Many of the staff are clueless to what is suitable for each animal and comment that "crittertrails are the perfect homes for hamsters and mice" and tour you through their stock of mesh wheels. I'm not saying their bad, but something needs to change and their tiny rabbit cages have to go. It's not about the money when your working in a pet store so you must give costumers the correct information or you'll be paying more for vet bills. Many large chain pet stores (like petsmart and petco) aren't caring about their animal's welfare and giving them the cheapest care whilst they live in the pet store tank. I'm asking you to help me change the way pet stores care for their animal's and the products they sell.
