The regulators finally backed down and passed the new restrictions on these toxic chemicals. We forced them to prioritize our water over corporate profits. Keep your eyes open because we will be watching them to ensure these rules actually stick.

Hello, we are an organization at Santa Clara University called Pest- Aside: Fighting Water Contamination. Pesticide contamination is especially damaging our water supply since 50% of the nation’s water usage originates from groundwater. With the increasing changes in the global climate leading to rising sea levels, the United States is experiencing an increase in the presence of pesticides in groundwater. Our campaign focuses on the impacts of pesticide water contamination and its increasing threat- and more importantly- what we can to do preserve our Earth.

The goal of Pest- Aside: Fighting Water Contamination, is to raise awareness of the connection between pesticide use and water quality. Our ultimate goal is to increase regulations on pesticide use in order to improve our water quality. SIGN THE PETITION to urge the regulation of pesticides that are harming the population.

The chemical companies are poisoning our groundwater while regulators look the other way. We are preparing to bring these findings directly to the board and force them to account for the filth they are pumping into our supply.
