The Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC), urges Karnataka State Geovernment to order a CBI probe in order to unravel the mystery behind the series of continued attacks against the Christians and the terror being caused incessantly by the right wing radical Hindu groups in Karnataka. The GCIC also appeals to Your Excellency to reject the distorted Report by Justice Somashekhar on Church Attacks in Karnataka. The findings of the NHRC Special Investigation Teams and the KSHRC, throw sufficient light on the atrocities committed by the religious bigots belonging to the Sangh Parivar outfits against the Christians in the State during the month of September in 2008 with massive concentrations in specific and strategic Christian pockets in the State and thereafter in a scattered manner to keep alive the fear psychosis among the Christians throughout the State, to this very day. Hence, as this report can do more harm than good, Justice Somashekhar Report on Church Attacks in Karnataka needs to be rejected forthwith, and the findings of the Special Investigation Teams of the NHRC to be published along with the Action Taken Report by the State Government of Karnataka in this regard. The Global Council of Indian Christians rejects Justice B.K.Somashekhar’s Final Report on Church Attacks in Karnataka, in unequivocal terms, and demands that the state government reject the Report, as it is a bundle of lies intended mainly to mislead and confuse the people Karnataka, more so the secular-minded people in the state with its distorted facts and figures, which are far from truth. The saddest part of the whole thing is the “clean chit” given by the commission to the police, the leaders of BJP and other Sangh Parivar outfits in the respective districts, and the BJP Government in the state.
