Should include spaces for locals who shop in Southwold too. The shops like our money in the Winter.

I used to have a shop on the high street and couldn't even load stock into my shop from a parking bay outside without the local PCSO breathing down my neck, and that is if I was lucky enough to get a space. If I didn't get a space, I'd have to park a long way away and carry very heavy items along the high street, leaving my shop unmanned and this would take several trips. As a local with a small family, I find it nigh-on impossible to come into town for anything at all in the Summer months. I have just tried to "pop" to town to do the banking for my business and drove around the whole town twice with the kids in the back, unable to find a space (and almost killing absent-minded visitors as they drop off the curb and onto the road at random intervals). It's beyond unworkable. Give us more parking, permits for workers AND for Southwold residents and please be reasonable. Most of us are willing to work with the council on a solution - let us be heard!

This would be of great advantage to the workers in Southwold as car parks are full at this time of the year with holiday makers leaving their cars permanently in spaces whilst they are here day and night

What Southwokd resisdents need are permit parking spots out side their own houses! Try finding a spot on your own road in the summer.. most towns around the local area have these in place already yet Southwold hasn't! Look at lowestoft for instance, loads of permit only parking on the back roads to where people live in and around the town and putter areas.
As for people working in Southwold which can be up to 200+ in the summer Months there just isn't enough space for all the workers to park, Southwold needs to ideally to open up the field adjacent to North Road for people working or visitors coming in to Southwold.

I live locally in Reydon....and parking is diabolical is high season. Even just popping into the post office becomes a major operation. Although holiday makers are relied on for the continued growth of this beautiful seaside town, but please also think, and work, with the people that are here living, and working all year round.

I live in Southwold and can park outside my house without worrying, but I support all those who work and live here who have this problem. A parking permit for those who work and live is very important and must be considered seriously by the council.

I work at the red lion in Southwold as a chef,I get to work for 9 every morning and during the summer period there isn't anywhere to park even at this time of the morning, the reason behind this is simple, yes we are a tourist town and the people that come here on holiday leave there cars here for weeks on end! Something does have to be done because it's not fair on the local working class
