Unfortunately, Wageningen University & Research's travel policy still does not allow MDR and MID students (except for MID Disaster Studies students) to travel to "orange" countries. It is stated in the MDR and MID programme brochures that these courses are highly thesis and internship oriented, therefore experience in the field is a big asset in many occasions regarding future job applications. As the majority of our topics would take us into the Global South where most countries are indeed orange, we would like to request that the Programme Comittees reconsider the relaxation of WUR's travel policy.
