It's absolutely ridiculous that a college that prides itself as being affluent in the social justice community is willing to lose the only social psychology professor. Furthermore, the professor in question is not someone from the outside community hoping to get a new job. Rather it's a current visiting professor who simply wants job security.

This is a persistant problem at Hampshire. There should never be a time when a faculty member leaves or retires and is not replaced.
