Our goal is to have a permanent napping center on campus. Sleep deprivation is detrimental to student grades, health, and overall well-being. A permanent nap center will enhance the productivity and happiness of UIC students . By signing this petition, you will advance our effort to help students get the sleep they need and have a higher quality of life at UIC
I honestly cant believe people are actually taking this seriously because I started this while half asleep in the library and now the momentum is just wild. It feels like we are finally starting to acknowledge that being constantly exhausted is not a personality trait.

As a grad student who commutes, there have been many times when I wished for a place to just hide away for a refreshing nap. Additionally, as a disability studies student, this can provide another safe space for students with a variety of disabilities who may need to take a break without worrying about the surrounding environment.

Yes, please! Right now, I sleep in BSB every other day. When you work, intern, do school and commute via CTA, I need to find somewhere to squeeze in sleep, no matter what!
