Currently, at the State University of New York College of Ag &Tech at Cobleskill, faculty members may offer anonymous evaluations after the final exam in any course, but it is only done voluntarily, and for the professor's own personal review and benefit.

The current system is utilized by educators who use these evaluations make improvements when needed, but it is often expressed that the teachers who desperately need the evaluations are rarely those who receive or act upon them.

In the future, we would like to request that the administration develop a system to periodically both require and review student evaluations on courses offered. While student concerns may be aired to Chairs or Deans on an individual basis, with this method, issues may be addressed before they progress to the point where individual complaint is felt necessary.

A system of oversight to the most important part of the student's college experience would make the student body feel much more as though the lines of communication flow both ways.
