When borrowers default on any loan, collection agencies are then hired to communicate with original borrower to attempt recovery of funds and present options available for repayment. Many laws have been implemented to protect individuals against harassing phone collection practices, such as; specific times frames to call, language used, tone of collection agent, disclosure of all available repayment options - not just most lucrative for agency or agent.
