We, professors of philosophy, professors of theology, graduate students in philosophy, graduate students in theology, clergy, Nobel Laureates in Peace, national and international known moral leaders, and concerned and informed citizens of the world affirm that killing of innocent civilians in the states formerly known as Iraq and Syria is wrong. We beg all sides not to engage in monstrous evil by killing innocent civilians, and to negotiate a peace settlement that will bring peace to the states formerly known as Syria and Iraq.
