We ask that you consider the safety of our children when establishing the new EPS boundary realignment. Our property values will also drop due to this rezoning.

We are upset to hear that although the superintendent's neighborhood (Faircloud) is 3 miles closer to Central, the proposed redistricting will allow them to go to Sequoyah. Walnut Ridge is far north requiring us to pass Sequoyah and go another 2 miles, crossing the congested 2nd St. during rush hour to go to Central. Aside from safety concerns, Central is a much lower rated school with known discipline problems and has poor access for cars picking up children. While this would protect the superintendent's property value, our property values would depreciate substantially. You are our elected board member and we implore you to look after our interests and do the right and fair thing.

I want my children to go Edmond North because their siblings went there.

A second look at possibilities seems more than reasonable.

You still will be paying taxes which go to the schools. So keep your kids at home, then my kids will get more time with a teacher.

Please put the safety of our children first before just the numbers of Edmond growth! We believe EPS can be fair so please hear the parents and their concerns!

No children at home now, but I sure wouldn't like it if I did.

Looking at the demographic study, the idea that 800 students at Centennial must finish high school together (which is doubtful anyway since NE Edmond families are highly mobile group, people and there are major layoffs this year in oil industry that will increase the movement of families in the NE Edmond area), requiring the reassignment and disruption of the educational experiences for 5, 196 middle school student is appalling.

The reason we have as parents for NOT wanting out children to change schools are irrelevant. Many of us purchased our homes with the specific school as the main reason. THESE CHANGES SHOULD NOT HAPPEN!!!

This realignment was not done on the "up and up!"

So you people are for separation of classes. We shouldn't be worrying about which school your kids are going to because all of our schools are important. Right now my child is going farther to get to school when there is one closer. No matter which way it goes, it will be unfair for someone. The school district is only looking out for all the children in the district not just the rich north of Danforth Road.

There has to be a better plan that is not so disruptive to so many schools, families & children. Currently only one elementary school splits into 2 middle schools - the proposed plan will split 8 out of 15 elementary schools between 2 or more middle schools. Need to align 5 elementary schools & 2 middle schools for each high school, minimize disruption to current alignment, & realign schools closest in proximity. North - Cheyenne/Sequoyah - Centennial, Northern Hills, Heritage, Cross Timbers, John Ross. Santa Fe - Heartland/Summit - Frontier, Washington Irving, West Field, Charles Haskell, Angie Debo. Memorial - Central/Cimarron/Oakdale - Chisholm, Will Rogers, Orvis Risner, Sunset, Ida Freeman.

This is the second home I have bought in Edmond and had the school rezoned , downgraded and moved father away than the schools for which I purchased the home in the first place. This is absurd to drive by a closer school to get to one farther away. Parents should not stand for this.

The only reason I bought in Iron Horse was for the school. If this passes my son will be attending OCS.

Absolutely no due process or community feedback unless you were "chosen" discreetly for the select realignment committee.
