Hello reader,
For my year round school project I have to choose a problem in the world and have to come up with a solution. Through this project I have had to take notes, write an essay, petition, make an action plan, and finish with a presentation. This is obviously the petition part and hope fully you can sign this to help me out. I am for removing the penny.
Below I will include my essay and shortened bullet point version to people who don't want to read a lot.
Penny is useless because
-Costs more than its value to produce
-Millions in losses for the US Mint
-Becoming out of date

The momentum behind this is incredible. It is clear that I am definitely not the only person tired of useless pennies.

Take them out of circulation already they just clutter up my pockets and nobody even wants them at the register.
GET RID OF THEM! THEY COST MORE TO MAKE THAN THEY ARE WORTH.
finally someone said it. i hate pennies they should just round everything to the nickel
good luck with the school project. you have the right idea because pennies are just a big headache for stores.
My jar at home is literally overflowing with these things and they are basically worthless anyway.
