This seems like a simple request and a worthy activity.

A very healthy and responsible public service to the Peekskill Community at these most stressful times.

That would be so nice. I do want the kids to still get the most time in the pool.

Living here for 10 years and have always wished I could get a real workout in at the pool instead of just splashing around with the crowds. Hope they listen to us.

Longer lap space would be a welcome plan during set times. Thank you!

There is a precedent for time set aside for lap swim use of the pool. When I moved to Peekskill in 1999, the last hour the pool was open was set aside for adult lap swimming. That lasted until the mid- to late 2000s. I think it’s time to bring that back, but with the pool set-up for long way (50 meters) lap swim. Right now, one can only swim the width (18 yards) which gets mighty boring, in an area where one needs to watch for kids swimming from the deep end to the shallow end.

With this kind of adult designated lap swim lane and time, I would definitely get a summer membership to the pool, which I haven't had previously.
