I’ve been nearly run off the road more than a couple dozen times in the last 20 years just walking home from shopping at my sweet local Sn S store. How I wish we had better safety on this stretch used by all of us !

There is a blind woman with a large dog who lives on Arbutus just after the corner "bunny" house. She has to squeeze down this street and does so when going to S&S or even up to K-Mart . Please widen the street on the channel side, taking out part of the curve to improve visibility while installing this much-needed sidewalk. And the North section of the alley right next to the massage portion of the Pern/Peter house is hard dirt, gets huge potholes, and deserves asphalt or cement...the rest of the alley is cement in that block. Thanks City employees for prioritizing this need, it is really dangerous as Peter points out...particularly for Lauren, the blind 60ish woman.

As much as I'd love to have the sidewalks on my portion of Arbutus improved, I would ask that you make this short stretch a priority instead!

I live on Arbutus Ave. very near this section. I think it would greatly increase the safety of myself and other pedestrians. Honestly everytime I walk this section I am worried about being struck by a vehicle.

I fully support this request and must add that cars traveling on that stretch often speed through this section and many times have had to rapidly dive for the fence to avoid large speeding trucks or cars. A traffic speed limit sign posting in both directions as well as speed bumps or traffic calming structures would improve safety on this stretch also.

There is a definite need for a sidewalk here. Pedestrians dodging vehicles is not a solution.

I would like to add that since this area was annexed nearly 15 years ago the city has not performed any improvements in this area.
