I suggest the relevant employee responsible for upkeep of Highways and Pavements reads 'The Highway Act 1980' before a fall causing injury leads to litigation.

Our pavements are a disgrace.

This is the second time in three years we have asked the council to re surface. Patchwork tarmac is not good enough. We need proper paving stones as in the surrou ding streets.

I fully support this petition. Castlegate pavements are a health and safety issue that should have been addressed years ago. Old and infirm pedestrians are regularly tripping on the cracked and lumpy paving. Please address this.

I am 94 years old and have very limited mobility. The uneven pavement is a hazard for me and makes even walking the short distance to the kerb very difficult, as my Walker tends to snag

Terrible for baby buggies, dangerous for children's scooters and bicycles and a major hazard for our elderly residents. We fully support this petition.

This is dangerous, I’ve seen many older people trip and one ended up in hospital.

This matter is long overdue some serious attention from Richmond Council. We’ve lived on Castlegate for over 20 years and haven’t seen it given attention similar to nearby streets.

Our pavements are diabolical and with the pork portion for elderly and very young residents, it is just an accident waiting to happen
