A pedestrian crossing would be wonderful!

This is definitely needed to keep residents and tourists safe.

I have been complaining about the same thing for years. It’s very unsafe to cross there and it’s the right place for a crosswalk.

Great idea. It's always very hard to cross there with all the traffic

This location is a major crossing point on Seaway to go to the linear park and inlet. P>

It would be a lot safer & there are many walkers & bikers who live on the side streets who love to walk or bike to the Inlet area.

To encourage a walkable community I support signaled crosswalks.

Everywhere there is a sidewalk to get to should have a crosswalk, including this one and the one by Manatee Island.

Yes, certainly needed. With Manatee Restaurant traffic with people coming & going from parking lot coupled with heavy street traffic & blind spot when crossing from Fernandina due to curve...absolutely a safety issue. Thanks for taking on this project.

Agree this is needed and the police really need to start pstrolling this island and enforcing laws.

Besides slowing down for pedestrians, it might make it easier for cars exiting Fernandina going west.

Providing a pedestrian path without a safe crossing on a busy (and the only) road at Seaway Drive and Fernandina Street is an incomplete & dangerous public safety solution. THIS is where cars weighing thousands of pounds cross paths with pedestrians and bikes weighing a fraction - if contact occurs, who wins? Please do the right thing and improve this crossing. Regards

If achieved, just hope it is followed and enforced. I've been known to count 8 plus cars go by before someone stops for me at such crosswalks. Thank for pursuing this.
