This is something which needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency. As things stand, all pupils and the general public are at great risk of injury during peak times.

As a grandparent walking into town with young children I know this road needs traffic lights. Also Foundry lane needs a zebras crossing.

Our family live on Kings Road, and it should have a pedestrian crossing near the school. Well done on starting this campaign girls. Good luck.

I fully support this petition I lived just off the Kings Road before the school was built and the traffic was not as bad as it is now. Being a straight road encourages drivers to speed in spite of it being in a 30mph limit. If a crossing is too expensive why not drop the speed limit to 20mph in the vicinity of the school

I always thought a crossing was needed here when walking my daughter to nursery.

This is an amazing idea, I went to Kingslea when it was Chesworth over 20 years ago and crossing the road was always terrifying.

A crossing is very much needed. Also traffic calming due to the amount of regular speeding motorists.

I support this proposal wholeheartedly. Having suffered similarly with a busy street when our children were young, we campaigned like this, got our crossing and our street was safer! Good luck!

Great idea! I hope the council take this seriously and uses funds to keep Kingslea Primary School pupils safe.

I think this is very good and I know how dangerous it is because I used to cross there on my way to school ;-)
