Very dangerous junction considering the schoolchildren that have to use this on a daily basis

This junction is very difficult for cars to turn right without risk of being hit by the traffic going straight on. When you consider pedestrian crossings please can you also think about right hand filter lane to get from Ty Wern Rd to Rhiwbina village in order to stop cars mounting the pavement to get past the traffic queuing to turn.

I’ve heard a lot of incidents on this road and have witnessed some risky road crossing by some WHS pupils, makes me worry for when my children are older and walking that way home. Need safer access.

Nanny to two child plus my own baby. Have to cross very busy road mon-fri without safty of the green man. Children ages 6yr, 3yr and 10months. Very dangerous. Don’t understand why you can build new cycle lane by Lidl but can’t look after safety of people/children crossing the roads. Very disappointed in Cardiff council. People pay a lot in Council tax/ road tax etc. All I see is waste of money being spent.

This busy junction is dangerous and in urgent need of safeguards for pedestrians, including crossing facilities and barriers to prevent cars mounting the pavement. Without these, the area cannot reasonably expect residents to walk and cycle safely, particularly those with young children, the elderly and disabled.

The whole of Rhiwbina has become unsafe with cars racing through junctions and side streets causing a huge risk to pedestrians, especially children

About time this junction was re designed. O that’s right a fatality needs to occur before any action is taken.

I walk my children to and from school past this junction. I have seen cars drive through when the green man light is on and shout at pedestrians crossing. A 4 way crossing is desperately needed, as is widening the pavements, which are dangerously narrow. I fully support this petition.

This is a very dangerous junction.
Having lived on this road for 20 years, I have witnessed many potentially hazardous situations and feel that this particular spot is ‘an accident waiting to happen’ specifically regarding cars mounting the pavement.Hoping that the Council will act swiftly and accordingly to ensure that safety of pedestrians does not continue to be compromised.

As a driving instructor regularly using this junction, I think there’s a need for improved, safer crossing facilities from the obvious pedestrian perspective but as a driver too.

I had a car accident here a few years ago. Obviously there's a problem. Add pedestrians (inc many children) to that, and it's a bigger problem. Please consider making this junction safer for all - asap!

Very dangerous spot, how are we supposed to teach our children road safety when drivers mount pavements.. Totally agree that something should be done about this before its to late.

The safety of children has to come first.
