Meritage should not have promised that all houses in the neighborhood would have 3 car garages.

When building a home, many things factor into one's decision. Second to having the floor plan we needed, we chose Pecan Estates in part because we like the look of neighborhoods with side entry garages. Now we see that front garage homes are going up. We also would expect that the general price point of the homes would stay consistent throughout the build-out of the neighborhood. We have been let down on both fronts. In addition to the countless challenges we endured during the building process, these are just more items to heap on our pile of dissatisfaction with Meritage. In an age of social media, these decisions that disappoint your buyers is not a wise marketing strategy.

I feel this not only disappointing but short-sighted as well. Hoping you will reconsider and stay the course with the original plan for Pecan Estates.

Meritage has to treat the current residents of Pecan Estates financial interest in their home values the same as they treat their own interst in Meritage financial value. Translation, don't diminish the value of our existing homes to improve Meritage profits. This is unethical and we will boycott you if we have to. It's an eye for an eye. You mess with our money than we are going to mess with yours!
