The Petition of the people of Addington and Forestdale declares that the residents are concerned that there should be a regularisation of the planning arrangements for Pear Tree Farm, a waste transfer station nestled in the Green Belt on the borders of the London Borough of Croydon and Tandridge District Council.
The Petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons urges the Government to take steps to see Croydon and Tandridge Councils regularise the planning arrangements at the site and to see the Environment Agency review the Waste Transfer Licence for Pear Tree Farm.

I spent the morning staring at the maps of the farm again because it just does not make sense how this sits in the Green Belt while the trucks keep rolling through anyway. It feels like I am shouting into a void sometimes but hearing from all of you in the comments makes me think maybe the people in charge will actually have to look at this now.

I honestly never thought this would gain this much steam but here we are and people are actually looking at Pear Tree Farm now. It feels like the noise is finally getting loud enough to force someone to pay attention to that mess in the Green Belt. Maybe now the council will have to stop pretending they don't see what is happening right in front of them.

This place is a total eyesore and ruins the green belt. Why is it even allowed to operate there
The smell is absolutely unbearable in the summer. Need to get this sorted out once and for all.
TOTAL MESS. GET IT OUT OF OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD.
The lorries are tearing up the roads and it is just not safe for the kids having them drive through our area constantly.
We moved here for the countryside not to live next to a dump. Fix it up council.
