Senegalese People show to the World that they are peaceful people. While in Africa, elections are always followed by violence, killing, murder, coup d'etat, Senegalese were waiting for the results on that Sunday,March 25, 2012, the medias announce the winner of the Presidential Elections, watching t.v, listening to the radios, reading messages from their Smartphone. They were teasing each other, and laughing. After the medias announced the winner Macky Sall over Abdoulaye Wade, they didn't pursue the members of the loosing Party. They were thinking in celebrating their victory. It was a great lesson of Democracy. After his defeat, President Abdoulaye Wade called the new elect president, Macky Sall and congratulate him. In 2000, after his defeat, Abdou Diouf called Abdoulaye to congratulate him. In 1981, President Leopold Sedar Senghor, resigned letting his Prime Minister Abdou Diouf end hit mandate. Those events are unique in Africa and rare in the World because the Senegalese People are mature and hate violence. Now Senegal has its 4th President since its Independence ( April 4,1960) always  after democratic elections, event minor incidents occur.

Senegal is composed by around 92% of Muslims, 7% of Christians (Catholics), 1% of Pagans. However, during  all the major Religious celebrations, all Senegalese celebrate them together. We don't have Religious conflicts because you can find in the same Family, one part Muslim, another part Catholic. For all those reasons, I think that the Senegalese People deserve the  Nobel Peace Prize for 2012 .
