This petition goes to all peace-loving followers of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. As you all know, the hearts of the followers of the church have been torn with all the hate and baseless rumours that have been going around in and outside Ethiopia for the last twenty years. It has been difficult for Friends and families to communicate over the issues that have been keeping the leaders of the factions apart. I would like to ask for both groups to come to their senses and move forward to keep our church strong and prosperous. I think we have more important issues to deal with the real adversaries of our church. So please forget about the so called synod in exile go back home run for election of you choose to have a position. Do not forget the basic principle of being a monk. You do not fight for a position. It is the Holy Synod that decides if you deserve one .
