Our band program receives PE credit during marching and concert season. I see no reason why this program shouldn't receive the same.

Marching Band is a very physically challenging sport and it takes more than just strength. It takes stamina, accuracy, and multitasking. You are playing an instrument while running across a field in formation while wearing a heavy uniform. For it not to be considered at the very least a PE credit would be absurd

Marching band is very physically taxing, and requires just as much work and effort as any other sport. It is not only an art but it is a sport.

marching band is so physically and mentally exhausting! Why wouldn't it be counted as a PHYSICAL Education credit?? It's a physical activity/sport and it teaches you so much about the real world and about marching band itself. In my opinion that is Physical Education.

I’m in a marching band that offers pe credit - it’s really useful and it provides the credits for upcoming marchers

Marching band is a sport ,you swear you have a team , you go to practices and you go to competitions. It might be one of the hardest sports out there!A sport deserves a pe credit , pe you run and sweat and that’s exactly what you do in band!

My school has marching band as a pe waiver and our principal told me that he believed that we did enough hard work to have it be a pe waiver sk i believe that all schools should have it due to the hours and hours of hard work we put into practice and comps
