The local planning committee has formally approved the inclusion of our existing services within the new development plans. We have secured contractual guarantees for the nursery and community spaces, though we will maintain observation throughout the construction phase to ensure these commitments are fully honored.

Scrubs Lane Limited proposes the demolition of the existing Pentecostal City Mission Church building and structures for the redevelopment of the site.
The site is currently home to an early-years Nursery, Music tuition, Educational classes for children and adults, Youth club and is used as a place of worship. A total of 500 + members use the services in this building and it is an essential resource to the community. Losing this service will not only be detrimental to the community yet also to the staff and volunteers who work here on a daily basis.
The newly proposed building will be for a mixed-use development comprising of a basement and 19 storeys in height to provide 83 residential units, a nursery, retail/restaurant unit and place of worship/community use; shared with circulation space, disabled car parking, cycle parking, plant and associated works.
Having seen what the developer is proposing, please sign this petition to support the redevelopment of the site and the inclusion of it's existing services in the new building.

I have successfully requested a formal meeting with the planning department to review the impact of the proposed Scrubs Lane development on our existing community services. Currently I am finalizing a brief that outlines the specific operational requirements for the nursery and youth programmes to ensure they remain viable within the new structure.

Where something good is working it is wrong to threaten it or try to tear it down. There is no need for development for development sake! Who profits here? Not the people who use the services.
This is a place full of love, when I went there for the 1st time 12 years ago with my siblings it felt like we belong there, like this is my family
The community services, education and acts of worship that currently go on at the Pentecostal City Mission Church building must be preserved in any redevelopment as they are vital services to the local community and also provide important employment
I am writing on the behalf of the city mission building to stay open . It as been a blessing to see and know that the success of every worker and also the dedicated volunteer workers, have made such a positive life for the youth and little ones bringing so much positive ness into everyone life that attend it is growing so well improvement are being made and it will be a great shame if this building is not kept for the public and children to enjoy please keep it the way it is , so it will continue to grow thank you . I believe strongly that local community access and presence in the new development is essential in retaining local engagement. Therefore the EY Nursery and other provisions should be an essential part of any new development.

Penticostal City Mission Church had always been a hub for the local community on so many fronts, youths clubs, Sunday schools, nursery school, a church and a hub for distribution of food items to the needy within the community. It is vitally important for the community to continue to enjoy these tremendous services . Any redevelopment of the area should at all cost include PCMC Many thanks
