Two Port St. Lucie dogs impounded for barking at neighbor, could be euthanized

This is outrageous

When there are middle age, senseless laws on the books, they need to be changed. This needs to be changed. Let's be serious, dogs bark. They don't deserve to pay for a natural response to their environment with their death. The people who are overseeing the laws of Port Saint Lucie need to stand up and make sure that they don't or they will forever be considered inhumane and not fit to serve their constituents.

Dogs bark to communicate, alert and protect....stop this foolish law!

To KILL a dog for barking is an abuse of power. Please do the right thing, Port Saint Lucie and release these dogs alive and well to their family.

sounds like they need to change the laws over there. dogs bark to let there owners know some one is outside. to kill them over that it stupid.

Please have a heart; these dogs are just being dogs. They protect and love their family from strangers and can sense if a person is good or bad. Save them from such an unfair, malicious act of cowardice. You may file for a lawsuit against that complainant. Look for Animal Lawyers who sincerely fight for their rights. Prayers for them and your family.

Pit bulls being made scapegoats yet again. These dogs were doing nothing more than barking at a neighbour, doing what a dog should do - guard its property and family. If every dog who barked was put to sleep, there would be no dogs left.

What a ridiculous law! Since these dogs didn`t hurt anyone they should not be given such a harsh consequence. How mentally stable is the person they barked at?

This is just wrong, this law needs to be changed. To euthanized two living breathing animals because their barking too much is like killing a human for talking too much. If you put this two animals to sleep for batting then your committing murder and should be jailed period.
