Reinstate Ms. Payette to her position at Place Maillardville Community Centre

Please reinstate Ms. Palette for the sake of the kiddies especially Noah!!!

My grandson has attended programs at many different locations over time, but Ms. Danielle's wonderful ways has made Place Maillardville his favorite location. She has made a huge and positive difference to his life.

Danielle is a great assess to Place Maillardville. Please bring her back! The kids need her.

It is a sad fact that Ms. Payette is moving on . But as Albert Einstien wrote: “The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources." There are always reasons why things happen, and sometimes we are not aware of the "why's"

I didn't write too much in my previous 'comment' because i had already sent an e-mail privately to the board, but i DO have a very strong opinion on this appalling decision.

Miss Danielle is a big part of what made Place Maillardville special. Along with her warmth and friendliness, her willingness to hear patrons needs and the fact that cares enough to make just the right changes quickly to accommodate it has been truly amazing. This is what's sets Place Maillardville apart from every other community centres as she fosters a sense of community and makes everybody feel part of it even from the very first time you meet her. My family owe it to miss Danielle in helping us with two huge events in our lives. We needed a way to provide child care for our ride to conquer Cancer fundraiser and she agreed to put on a kids night out and parents night off for us. We were very impressed with the center and started sending our kids to summer camp. Afterwards, my three year old twins wanted to attend the french preschool, but our schedules didn't allow it - Miss Danielle helped us by moving all the preschool aged activities to Tuesdays and Thursdays and created the wildly popular movie classes so the parent still go to work and pick up the kids. We consider Place Maillardville to be part of our family, and I believe Miss Danielle plays a huge role in that atmosphere. Having met the director and the other manager(s), I am sure they will not be able to deny this fact. Perhaps this decision came from the desire to make the centre like yet another porier rec centre or another big impersonal place. We would love to have miss Danielle back as she possesses the special quality that can really connect to the general public. Her skills as public liaison and event and volunteer coordinator are exactly what we need back in place Maillardville.

Sad, as i know my nephew really loved her. She was very very helpful to our family.

So sad to see things like this happen. When parents and colleagues come together like this, it is a true example of 'actions speak louder than words. Congratulations on being great role models!! You have my signature.

Bring back Ms. Payette she dos a great job for my friend Noha and all they other children I only ear good words about Ms Payette she make a difference in the life of those children..

Place Maillardville is not the same community center without Ms. Payette. One of the reasons we sign up for so many classes and activities with the community center is because of Danielle. She is welcoming, caring and so loyal to our kids. she works so hard sending us constant reminders of events, field trips etc. nobody cares about the programs as much as she does. There was no explanation, no warning, and no chance for the kids to say good buy. Very disappointing.

Not acceptable

My family and I were heartbroken when we heard Danielle was let go from Place Maillardville and then Livid when we heard how... She has been our person there for the last 5 years. The face of the community center, The person my boys hug when we arrive. The one who kept all us patrons in her heart and always showed how much she cared about us and her community. Bring her back! It already is not the same without her. I can't believe a COMMUNITY center would treat someone as dedicated as her in this way. Right the wrong.

This is a TERRIBLE decision..!!!! Please change it..

Bring Danielle back!

Ms. Payette is an enormous asset to place Maillardville. She easily works 5 times harder than most. I would suggest reviewing why this was allowed to happen in the first place and deal with the person (s) responsible. Having malicious people managing/working in the community centre environment is toxic for all and is noticed by more than those who work there. Shame on you, Place Maillardville, for your conduct in this.

Danielle has been an amazing force at Place Maillardville with her awesome programs and fabulous personality. We need more like her - we need her back!
