WHEREAS  The federal government has betrayed the trust of the American people by taking more than $2.6 trillion from the social security trust fund over the years to spend on other things  and has never budgeted for or made provisions to pay it back; and

WHEREAS The federal government is now trying to cut benefits and delay payments to it’s citizen’s rather than simplying paying back the money taken- which would make the social security trust fund “as is” solvent till 2037;  and

WHERAS Citizen participation in the Social Security Trust fund is required or mandated by the Federal Government and all funds are managed by the Federal Government as the funds  trustee, the federal government is accountable to it’s citizens and must make good on its commitments,

THEREFORE, WE THE PEOPLE of the United States of America PETITION the Federal Government to:

1)   Beginning with the 2012 budget, budget for aand buy back the IOU's from the social security Trust Fund in a amount equql to any any shortfall that will occur in that year as a way to start paying the American peoples trust fund back for what has been taken.

2)   Cover any shortfalls for the next 26 years or until the entire $2.6 Trillion that has been taken has been paid back without borrowing the money.

We also call on  our politicians and media to stop reporting half truths concerning Social Security. Specifically to stop reporting how much is going out without also showing how much is coming in for the same period and report the current surplus balance (assets) that the social security fund has.
