As a former RPD officer the city needs to stand behind this department and give them the pay they deserve. The city sure didn't mind taking several incentives from officers when I was employed there. It's past time to give back.

I am in favor of a wage increase for our police officers.
While we sleep at night, while we're at work during the day, while we enjoy evenings with our families, they are patrolling our city and ensuring our safety. They deserve it.

It is very important to have a trained police force. Retention is a huge part of being able to accomplish this aspect. These individuals risk their lives every day and deserve a raise and a salary comparable to other cities so that we can keep the officers.
