For the safety of both the people and the officers, please pass this! Richmond has gone through too much heartbreak to become so vulnerable to further tragedy. The city where officers and dispatchers from the whole state are trained and those fallen remembered must be a strong and exemplary unit, not one to be pitied.

I sincerely believe we need to recognize the incredible service our officers provide and pay them what they deserve to be paid. It is a shame to expect so much from them and to ask them to do it on such a limited salary. Thank you.

Our city and citizens are not safe with an under-staffed and under-funded police force. Please respect our officers and citizens by adopting a fair and more appropriate pay scale.
