The Richmond Police Department is severely understaffed, which is dangerous for officers as well as the citizens they protect. A new pay scale was developed in order to help retain officers, who are leaving in droves for higher paying departments. However, the mayor refuses to give the new scale the consideration it deserves. Let our mayor know you do NOT feel safe when only 5 officers are on patrol at a time.
