Nothing says community spirit like "ohh lets dob them in for visiting their father with their 3 young children, they could do with a parking charge notice just in time for their sons birthday" ...
unfair & annoying.. makes us want to not bothor visiting again. But perhaps we are pampered having come from a neighbouring villiage not the city.

Parking fines should be issued in a considered manner, only when an individuals space is being obstructed, not by vindictive residents.

Sensible parking on roadside should be acceptable and the parking fine system should not be used as a method for neighbour's taking grievances out on each other and only be used legitimately when a residents bay is misused or blocked.
These changed should help alleviate these issues.

I recently received a fine for parking outside my flat, £60!? I wasn't blocking another space or the road. It's crazy I pay enough to live here and shouldn't have to worry about where I can park. As long as people don't park in others bays or block the road what's the issue. Not many households have 1 or no cars these days

The recent parking restrictions have absolutely nothing to do with the availability of parking spaces.
If I recall correctly when we bought the apartment it was on the understanding that we also bought only ONE parking space, so why all the belly aching, if you know what you are letting yourself into what is the problem,just get on with life

To ask residents to walk across a poorly lit park is dangerous and just asking for trouble. In this day and age no-one is safe regardless of age or sex.

I agree, the parking situation is ridiculous. However there are more than 7 visitors spaces... there are unmarked (although very small bays) outside blocks further into the development. That visitors could use, if people would park with more care. Still this isn't enough, but then the lease does state you shouldn't have more than one car… I'm not convinced about this suggestion, although it is a positive step in the right direction. I think adding road markings will look ugly and messy on an already busy site. Could we covert some of the unused grass areas into parking spaces?

I share a flat at Paxton Drive and myself and my flat mate need both of our cars but only have one space. It is absolutely ridiculous to expect residences to walk across the park! I would not feel safe doing that every evening after work. We definitely need more parking on the estate, we pay enough to live here for it.

As a pensioner, it is very difficult to get to visit my daughter with the very limited parking spaces available more forward thinking was required at the design stage in this age of the motor car

Only 7 visitor parking bays this is clearly not acceptable for a 'Professional Management Committee' - more car parking should be provided.

As a disabled driver parking is very important to me, whilst i do not live on Paxton Drive i do visit my friend there on a regular basis and there is no disabled parking at all.

This really is a silly situation, a lot of these flats are used as a flat share meaning there is always going to be more than one car needed. In all of the time I have been living here people have parked on the roads, and they have always been sensible with this. Access is always available and people think about where they park.
This needs to change, and change quickly.
