This brave man has fought for Queen and country and died whilst on duty following orders. Of course his name should be added. It is shameful on Penarth council that there should be any needs to request this!

He should definitely be added as he was a serving soldier.
weather he was serving our Country in a war or training exercise, he was still serving his Country and sadly died doing so , so yes his name should go on the Cenotaph in Penarth and shame on the Glamorgan council

Paul died serving his country as marine his name should be held up as a shining light to all our soldiers who,have paid the ultimate price, honour this Marine and respect his family and the Corp.

A stupid decision. The fact he died on a training exercise and not a recognised conflict is irrelevant. He is a member of that community who died while in service.

Why should his fiance Sian suffer any more heartache than necessary. Is it not enough that he was a royal marine who opted to spend his life dedicating himself to serving his country. Whether or not he died during conflict or training is ludicrous. The man should be honoured for being part of an elite team. I really hope you can achieve this for him. The country is behind you

Paul paid the ultimate sacrifice, serving his country wether be it in battle or in training, he should be remembered in his own town of all places!

my grandson died in Afghan and his name is on the cenotaph in Huyton Liverpool a true hero deserves our respect.

A sacrifice should be recognised here - it is both shaming and shameful that Penarth council have not recognised the publics depth of feeling. Please act upon this petition
