My nephew died on exercise having done two tours of Iraq and his name is on the wall at the National Arboretum ....... I don't see how this is any different. Paul's name should be added to the cenotaph. It's disrespectful and extremely cruel not to have done it already. The council should be ashamed of themselves !!!!

How many of Penarth council have been serving forces personnel ? If none then they do not have the right to to judge in this case.l ?

This young man died serving the United Kingdom as a Royal Marine.....training is an essential part of that service and so he deserves equal recognition with others who have fallen from his home area......no decent person could possibly deny either him or his loved ones this simple honour .

A serving soldier is a serving soldier. Whether he died training for operations or on operations he earned and deserves RESPECT
