Craig, you are entitled to your opinion. However, so am I. If you think a flag and delegating someone to watch it is taking care of it, sorry. The woman has shown that she has no respect for our flag, and she has no business influencing the next generation of adults. Don't believe me, just read some of the comments here. I will be on fox and friends talking about this soon. Do you watch fox and friends?

Action has been taken. The principal has learned from an honest mistake, and the school now has students who will put up and take down the flag everyday. That is what Mr. Miller wanted. He did not want the principal fired.

Louis Cheek, Bailey is a proud American who loves her country and her family has a long and distinguished heritage in the military and government of this great nation. She is a decedent of a signer of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Nelson Jr. She has had family members serve with honor in battle and two that did not return from war because they gave the ultimate sacrifice. I can see that you are someone who likes to speak about things you don't know the facts on. If you knew the facts about this story (rather than what you see on social media) and Bailey's family then you would not be so bold in your comments. But you probably would anyway because it is obvious that she is a better person than you because she is merciful and cares about people. That's what the flag REPRESENTS. But because of that flag, you can spew your hate as well. You are only concerned about the flag itself and she is concerned about someone being bullied and drug thru the mud for something that is old news and only partially factual. Facebook strikes again! This situation happened over a year ago and it has been remedied.

Sir, With all due respect, Bailey did not post her resume or her genealogy on here before joining the petition discussion. You are correct, I did not know all of that. However, I did not post my resume or my genealogy either. So, I understand that you have know idea who you are having a discussion with. What is true, is that a Principal of a local High School walked by a flag pole for the past 3 years +/- and ignored the tattered and shredded AMERICAN FLAG. Nelson, do you dispute that fact? Not only did the Principal, but all of the Staff, maintenance workers, school board employees, and probably even the School Board Superintendent. So, what's your excuse for that? As for Bailey, She joined an adult conversation and did not disclose her age. I did not invite any children to the party, and she joined of her own will. Thank you for your time. Now, you can sign the petition or not. If they accept this story on Fox and Friends, maybe you can come along.

Ok, here we go again... Let's take it by the numbers to see if you can understand. 1. Who is in charge at Patterson High School? 2. What is the problem? 3. Is that the real problem? 4. Is there a secondary problem? 5. Is that really a problem? 6. What corrective action was taken? 7. Was that corrective action for the real problem or the secondary problem? 8. Is there a corrective action for the 'other' problem? 9. Who is the responsible party over Patterson High School?

Yes, I do understand. Apparently you are the one who is misunderstanding. I have already answered all of these questions. The situation has been corrected as I have stated many times. She did not say that she "didn't have time to worry about a flag." That is false information that was spread through social media. She has apologized for the condition of the flag, and she should not be fired for something that was not intentional and that she feels bad about. Can she change the past? Of course not. Should she be given another chance? Yes. Simple as that.

I personally know the principal, and I know she didn't mean what she said when she said it. She has a lot of respect for a lot of people, and there is not one bone in my body that believes she ment it in that mannor.
