Verne Marks As a former Marine and 81-85 and a an Irish Citizen I think this is the least they can do for him and others that made the sacrifice. Semper-Fi Brother Gallagher! Verne Marks

This is an incredible story of an amazing young Irishman who embodied the characteristics of leadership, selflessness and true heroism. It is a shame that more Irish people are not aware of him and I hope that USS Patrick Gallagher is commissioned as such!!

Sept 24th : Many thanks to Dublin Airport for their help over the last few months. Having billboards to tell America bound passengers of Patrick Gallaghers life and the goal of naming a US navy ship after him really help with the signature count. We also appreciate the numerous comments. The billboards will now be reused at various venues around Ireland and the US. Martin (Co organiser with Marius)

Sam your posters Dublin Airport. Am familiar with USS Michael Murphy DDG-112 "The Murph" and have visited White House Pub Kinsale with Irish Veterans. I'm an Irish Veteran and have lost a close Marine friend who was killed nearly 50 years ago. Strongly support USS Patrick Gallagher.
