Viet Namn Sgt e5 vet 63-67. says marines arent recognized in enough good ways and naming a ship after a marine will cause questions and his story to be told and retold for many years...deservingly so.

USS Moinester was decomissioned in 1994. Patrick "Bob" Gallagher should be so honored for his sacrifice and to follow his fellow Lynbrook, NY predecessor

HE WAS BRAVE OR FOOLISH ENOUGH TO GO, AS OPPOSED TO SO MANY OF OUR "LEADERS." NEW SHIPS SHOULD BE NAMED AFTER THESE BRAVE, POOR GUYS, AS OPPOSED TO POLITIANS.
