Why he did not get the MOH is beyond me. Not a citizen, but still a US Marine, and he saved other Marines and thought they made a big deal out of "nothing".

Had the grenade exploded when Bob covered it to save the lives of others, he would have been recommended for the CMH, because it didn't he was awarded the Navy Cross, his actions were the same, thus, he should had been awarded the CMH and should be awarded it now.

please consider naming the Navy Destroyer in honor of Lance Corporal Patrick Gallagher for his b and his extraordinary heroism and inspiring valor in the face of almost certain death, he saved his comrades from probable injury and possible loss of life.
