As a brother of Patrick it would be a great honour for me and all my family to have this ship named after our wonderful hero. I cannot express enough words of thanks and gratitude to all those who have supported us this far and for all the endless work that has been done and is still ongoing. The words of support from everyone have brought great comfort to our family and will not be forgotten.

The crew of any ship bearing Gallagher's name would be inspired in exactly the right way.
This acknowledgement to Cpl Gallagher and his family is the least this country can do for this brave soldier who gave his life for this country and his fellow soldiers. It is my honor to sign this petition.
