I knew many of the haggards around
Ballyhaunis back in 1951-1953 when my father and I operated our threshing machine from Churchfield, Knock, to Ballintubber, Co. Roscommon, to Kilkerrin, Co. Galway.
Here's hoping that Gallagher's courage against Vietnamese will inspire men in Ireland to exhibit similar courage for Ireland.

Destroyers are traditionally named for heroes of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. This seems to be a good example of that tradition.

troops that never never get recognition for putting their lives on the line are grateful to the few that that do get recognized.
