Please direct the naming of a DDG new ship to be named after BOB GALLAGHER. This is only fitting and proper. I served in the UNITED STATES NAVY and I would have been proud to have served on this ship named as such.

Our country has a proud history of non citizen immigrants serving. Corporal Gallagher served with heroism and died for his adopted country. Naming a ship after an American hero is the right thing to do

I Robert M. Taylor, the undersigned, respectfully request that the Secretary of the Navy direct that a DDG class ship scheduled to be procured in or after 2017, be named in honor of Corporal Patrick "Bob" Gallagher, USMC, Navy Cross, of Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo, Ireland (KIA ~ Da Nang 1967)
