What a wonderful representative this young man would be for all immigrant who come to the US and join the service. I grew up not far from Ballyhaunis and retired after serving for 16 years in the US Navy and 7 in the Army

I do believe that when a foreign born human being is drafted. He who answers the call without hesitation and displays Fidelity Bravery Integrity should be remembered as an American soldier who gave up the ultimate sacrifice for his follow man. As a former Marine veteran and a veteran of Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq who just retired after 43 years of service. We all owe him this Honor. Blessed be the Marine Semper Fidelis

I support the petition to name a ship for Patrick Gallagher to hour his patriotism and service to the United State Marine Corp. the Navy and the United States of America.

I too left Ireland to serve in the U.S.Marines. Very proud of my Corps and service. I support proposal to have a ship namedafter the Cpl. The support of the Commandant would be most helpful.
