I fully support this request to have a DDG class ship named after Cpl Patrick Gallagher. As someone who has 'Ballyhaunis' connections (my mother was from there and I spent many happy days there with my Grannparents) and who has spent 42 years in the Irish Defence Forces, I believe he fully deserves this honour.

I fully support this request to have a DDG class ship named after Cpl Patrick Gallagher. As someone who has 'Ballyhaunis' connections (my mother was from there and I spent many happy days there with my Grannparents) and who has spent 42 years in the Irish Defence Forces, I believe he fully deserves this honour.
