I would like to formally show my full support for Patrick Gallagher. From everything I have read, he deserves this honor. If it were not for brave individuals such as Patrick, this country would be in far worse trouble. God bless this man and his family. We need to honor his service by giving him this prestige honor.

I served in combat in the same province(Quang Nam) as Patrick during 1967. I feel he is very deserving of having a ship named after him. Like so many other Irish he fought for the United States by his own choice when he didn't have to. Let us honor this hero.
