Well deserved...I served on the USS MANSFIELD DD-728 during the Vietnam War. Corporal Gallagher was a true hero.

I respectfully request that the Secretary of the Navy name DDG117, or a subsequent DDG class ship scheduled to be procured in 2017, to be named after Corporal Patrick "Bob" Gallagher, USMC, Navy Cross, of Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo, Ireland (KIA ~ Da Nang 1967)
